SpaceBlades is a free online game run by one person. By creating an account, playing, or buying anything, you agree to these terms. You must be 13 or older. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy anything.
1. Who we are
SpaceBlades (spaceblades.net) is operated by Mark L. of Connecticut, an individual sole proprietor doing business as HumbleGames ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@spaceblades.net.
2. Age and content
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or play online. SpaceBlades has fantasy sci-fi combat (plasma blades, powers, and at least one firearm) and mildly suggestive characters and costumes. It is intended for players 13 and up. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it.
3. Your account
- Keep your password and recovery code private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- Don't use your real name as a username, and don't pick a name that's offensive or pretends to be someone else.
- One person per account. Don't sell, trade, or share accounts.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.
4. Playing fair
Don't cheat, use bots or hacks, exploit bugs, attack or overload our servers, or harass, threaten, or bully other players. Chat is filtered and friends-only, but you're still responsible for what you send.
5. Payment Terms
In short: you're buying a license to use cosmetic items inside SpaceBlades, not property. Purchases are final. If SpaceBlades ever shuts down, your items and ranks end with it.
- What you're buying. Skins, paid ranks (KNIGHT, TEMPLAR), and other in-game items are a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use that content in SpaceBlades on your account. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money, sold, or transferred.
- Everything is optional. The full game is free. Purchases are cosmetic and don't give a gameplay advantage.
- Payment. Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Items are added to your account as soon as the payment goes through.
- Ranks. SQUIRE is free for everyone. KNIGHT and TEMPLAR each include a set number of skins of your choice and the other cosmetics listed in the shop. TEMPLAR also includes new emotes, dances, sprays and quips we release while SpaceBlades is operating. That is not a promise that we will keep releasing content or keep the game running for any length of time.
- Skin picks. You can claim your picks whenever you like while SpaceBlades is operating. Once you claim a skin with a pick, that choice is final and can't be swapped. Unclaimed picks end if the game closes.
- Fixed prices. Prices are as shown in the shop. Past purchases don't take money off anything else.
- Earlier purchases. Anything bought before the ranks changed keeps what it was sold as.
- All sales are final. Because items are delivered instantly, you agree that you lose any right to cancel once they're on your account, except where the law says otherwise. If something you bought didn't arrive or doesn't work, email us within 14 days and we'll fix it or refund you.
- Tips are voluntary gifts and don't unlock anything (except a map-idea slot where the shop says so). A map idea is a suggestion. We're not obliged to build it.
- Chargebacks. If you dispute a payment with your bank instead of contacting us, we may remove the items and suspend the account while the dispute is open.
- Refunds we give remove what was bought.
6. Changes, and if the game closes
SpaceBlades is a live game made by one person, and it will change. We may add, change, rebalance, or remove fighters, items, modes, or features at any time. We may also pause or permanently shut down SpaceBlades at any time, for any reason (for example cost, health, law, or the platforms it runs on). If that happens:
- Your account, items, ranks, and credit end, and you won't be able to use them anymore.
- Purchases are not refundable because of a shutdown, except where the law requires it.
- We'll try to give at least 30 days' notice in the game or on the site when we reasonably can, but we can't promise it.
7. Things you send us
If you send us ideas, map suggestions, or feedback, you let us use them freely, without payment or credit.
8. Our stuff
The game, its characters, art, music, and code belong to us. You may stream and make videos of SpaceBlades. Don't copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the game.
9. No warranty
SpaceBlades is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be online, bug-free, or that your progress or items will never be lost.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for anything related to SpaceBlades is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Ending your account
You can stop playing any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@spaceblades.net. Deleting an account ends its items and ranks. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the game, and you may need to agree again. Continuing to play after an update means you accept it.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, except where your local consumer law gives you rights that can't be taken away.
